About Massachusetts Youth Pride Committee
The Massachusetts Youth Pride Committee (MAYPC) meets every other week. Our meeting locations vary to allow as many people from around the state to attend, so check here for the most up to date schedule and location.
You can join MAYPC by filling out and submitting the application that is available by clicking the link to the right. Although we've stopped accepting applications for 2011 Youth Pride Season, we would still love to hear from you. So please feel free to fill one out and we'll keep you updated on plans for 2012 Youth Pride!!!
Our main meeting location is at the AIDS Action Committee (AAC) Office. The location of the AAC office is in Jamaica Plain at 75 Armory Street, very close to the Jackson Square Orange Line T-Stop. Parking is also easy at this new location. Click on the map to the right to see the location of our meetings.
MAYPC is sponsored by The Friends of GLBT Youth, Inc. (click link to right to find out more about the Friends), and is comprised of youth from all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts who are interested in organizing the life saving Youth Pride event.
MAYPC focuses on planning the Youth Pride events and helping to make important decisions about the entertainment, speakers, vendors, location, and much, much more!
MAYPC meets two Sundays a month and dedicate seven months out of the year to Youth Pride’s success. Alongside planning the event, they also participate in workshops and trainings on everything from planning an inclusive event to public speaking skills!
